What is the difference between a Place Card and an Escort Card? Many people use the terms interchangeably, but there is a clear distinction between the two.

Escort Cards are most commonly in the form of a small tented card, placed on a table outside of the reception area. Your guests will use this card to identify their particular table assignment. These "cards" most traditionally were small envelopes with a separate card inside stating the formal names of the guests and the table # i.e., "Mr. and Mrs. John Doe Table Number 5". However, today's brides take creative license and use a variety of favors with tags attached in place of the traditional or more common approaches.

Escort Cards
A clever way to escort your guests to their table and ignite their senses with your menu tucked neatly inside. Not only is this a unique design, but it won't break the bank either. Ask us how this option can save you money versus ordering traditional escort cards and seperate menu's per guest.

Place Cards hold the purpose of assigning a particular seat to your guest once he/she locates the table from the Escort Card. Many couples use the place cards to identify entrée selections to the service/catering staff in a discreet way, such as using different colored ribbon, inks or other embellishments. The place card wording should be limited to only the guests name, not the table number as this was already advised on the Escort Card. You may also consider using a personalized menu card as an alternative to the place card.
