To ensure your satisfaction with the end product, please read the following instructions & proofreading tips to help you thoroughly and effectively edit your proof copies. Bridal & Baby Expressions will work diligently to avoid any typographical or etiquette errors in your printed pieces, however we do follow the printing industry's standard policy of requiring customers to check and approve all customized items prior to production. If you have any questions about our policies or the following instructions, please contact your Customer Service Representative.
Instructions
- If any errors are noted on the proof copies, please REPLY with a description of the changes you would like and a revised proof will be sent to you within 24 hours.
- If no errors are noted and you are satisfied with the proof as is, please
- FORWARD the email & proof PDF attachments to: laureen@bridalandbabyexpressions.com
- TYPE "PROOF APPROVAL" in the subject line of your email.
A confirmation of your production date will be sent once your approval is received. Your approval is your acceptance of our proof policy (as noted below) and is required for production to begin. Changes to your order cannot be made after printing has begun.
B&BE PROOF POLICY
Bridal & Baby Expressions (B&BE) assumes no liability or responsibility for typographical errors on Draft Templates or Final Proof copies. The customer assumes all responsibility for editing the content of the Final Proof document and requesting revisions for any missing or typographical errors.
Proofreading Tips
- You should print out a "hard copy". It is much easier to catch any minor errors on paper than it is on a computer monitor.
- Proofread once aloud. This will allow you to slow down and hear the words as well as read them.
- Proofread only one line at a time & use a ruler under the line if possible - this will give your eyes a manageable amount of text to read at one time.
- You should check the style, color, and font type to make sure they are exactly what you ordered.
- Check the spelling of the names of both people and places involved.
- Make sure the proper titles are included.
- Look for special words like honour and o'clock and make sure they are spelled correctly.
- Double check the date and time and make sure the day, date and time and year are all written out and spelled correctly.
- Check on the accuracy of the address on both the return flap and reply envelope.
- Check for punctuation such as commas between city and state, periods after abbreviations, etc.
- Make sure the layout and spacing is okay.
- If submitting your guest names and addresses for printing on envelopes, please note that they will print exactly as you have entered into the spreadsheet via a Mail Merge process. No editing of your spreadsheet will be done unless specifically requested. The editing fee is $15.00 per spreadsheet and will include proofreading for typographical errors and proper etiquette. Any suggestions or errors noted by B&BE will require your approval prior to revision & printing.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
It is the customers' responsibility to review all items ordered after being received. Any errors must be reported to a representative at Bridal & Baby Expressions within 15 days of receipt on all pick-ups or date of delivery confirmation receipt on all shipped orders. If an error occurred on part of B&BE, we will replace the product free of charge. If you made an error, we offer a 15% Courtesy Discount for
re-ordered products. Please notify us before you use an item if there is any error with it. B&BE is not responsible or liable for ANY errors on ANY merchandise that has been used, regardless of fault.
